About Me

Hi, I'm Karene! I’m a mother-tongue English language coach with roots in Jamaica, and raised in vibrant London. I earned my TESOL certification back in 2010, and shortly after, I took a big leap and started my new life in Italy—first in Rome, and now in Turin.

Over the past thirteen years, I’ve shared not only my knowledge of the English language but also the diverse culture of the English-speaking world with hundreds of students. Each lesson I teach is a way to bridge our cultures and help you communicate confidently and naturally in English.

Before moving to Italy, I couldn’t speak a word of Italian and having been through the language-learning journey myself, I fully understand what it’s like to start from zero.

In our sessions, I aim to make learning as practical, engaging, and enjoyable as possible. Each lesson is designed around real-life communication, tailored to your specific goals and interests. Together, we'll focus on language skills that you can use confidently outside the classroom, whether for work, travel, or simply connecting with others.
